5 Protein Shakes For Weight Loss
Although it's linked in the minds of many people with bulking up, protein can also be a valuable tool in your weight loss efforts; when it's used properly. A calorie of protein is still a calorie and excess calories will get stored as fat – regardless where they came from. So to help you keep up your healthy, high protein diet, and keep your calories within tolerable bounds for weight loss, we've compiled recipes for 5 protein shakes for weight loss.
Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie
The classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich isn't all that great from a strict nutritional standpoint. Using powdered protein, however, cuts back on the calories and contributes to a filling, delicious recipe.
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1 scoop Naked PB powdered peanut butter
- 1 scoop Naked Nutrition protein powder
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 1 cup milk (any low-fat variety)
- 1 scoop Naked Nutrition protein powder
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- ½ cup fat-free cottage cheese
- Sweetener (of choice and to taste)
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- Water (as needed)
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 orange, peeled and segmented
